The Fall of Lucifer-Part 2

Welcome back. We continue our series on the fall of Lucifer. After this angel Lucifer fell, that is expelled from heaven, he became known as Satan or the devil. One day Jesus was talking to his disciples who just got back from missions work and said this,

He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”  Luke 10:18-20

Then another time while Jesus was talking to a crowd of people who were arguing with him, he said this,

“Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”  John 8: 43-44

Satan is our enemy. I wonder at times why on earth people worship the devil? Satan worshipers are on the losing team. When the world comes to an end, God is throwing Satan and his demons into the lake of fire. That is his destiny.

Let me use football to make my point. Say the Superbowl already took place and the 49ers won 🙂 Then you see a group of people join the team that did not win a single game! That is what its like to be a Satan worshiper. You just joined the losing team. Dumb. This is what the Bible says about the judgment of Satan.

“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”  Rev. 20: 10

Quick review. Lucifer was a created angel. Wickedness was found in him. He was expelled out of heaven now known as Satan. In the end of it all he will be thrown into the lake of fire and be tormented for ever.

Part three coming soon!
